Taiwanese guests don’t read email — but they always read LINE. Tabler ships with a built-in LINE Official Account integration: once a guest links their account, confirmations, reminders, and table-ready alerts all push automatically, and there is nothing to configure on the restaurant side.
When guests get notified
| Moment | The guest receives |
|---|---|
| You press Confirm | ✅ Booking confirmed (with details and a management link) |
| A booking is cancelled | A cancellation notice |
| Day of the meal, ~2 hours before | “A reminder about your booking today — see you soon!” |
| Nearly their turn in the queue (next party) | An early heads-up to head back |
| You press Notify | 🎉 Your table is ready — please return to the host stand within 10 minutes |
Bookings that include an email also get a confirmation email; LINE and email run in parallel — no need to pick one.
How guests link LINE
The linking entry points appear on the guest’s own pages, one tap each:
- The “My reservation” page after booking — a “Get reservation updates on LINE” button.
- The queue status page — link while waiting in line, and the table-ready call pushes straight to LINE.
The button runs LINE’s login authorization. A guest must be a friend of your LINE Official Account to receive pushes; if they aren’t yet, the page asks them to add it first, then completes the link. If a guest blocks or removes the account, pushes stop automatically — nobody gets messages they don’t want.
FAQ
- What if a guest doesn’t link LINE? Everything still works — the booking page, confirmation emails, and the queue status page don’t depend on LINE; linking just adds one more notification channel.
- Does the restaurant need its own LINE Official Account? No. Notifications are sent from Tabler’s official account.
- Can the message content be customized? Not currently; if you need this, email team@tabler.pro.
